Transformer Heavy Lift/Transport

Cargo Project: Transport a 115 tonne replacement transformer through the Port of Saint John via barge to Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Project Description:

• Transformer was discharged from the M/V Pacific Java by Logistec in January, 2009.
• Cargo was craned onto a barge and sea-fastened for continued transportation via the St. John River, landing in the final destination of Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Specialized Equipment Used:

• Two Goldhoffer, self propelled, multi wheeled transporters were supplied by Equipment Express.
• Irving Equipment supplied a 300 ton Lima Crawler Crane to place tansporter and transformer on barge.

Outcome: Successful discharge, loading, and delivery of transformers to final destination.
